man, adhd+severe depression is a fucking horrible combo. boredom kills me but u dont have the attention span to talk to my friends. i want to do something and my body is screaming to do something, but i am so, so tired. all the time. i feel like a shitty pwrson for not being able to have the energy to talk to people who i know i care about and who deserve a friend who can muster up the interest and attention span and energy to give them the conversations they want.

We need to take action!!

If you don’t know about Net Neutrality well you need to know about it now. This is no joke or a game because if we don’t do something living expenses are going be harder to meet.

If you thought being a college student is expensive bc of books and tuition imagine what you’ll be paying just to do a research paper.

If you were against paying for YouTube red well it won’t matter bc you’ll have to pay just to access the website. This goes for all social media sites as well. You’ll have to pay to access your email.

Forget paying for basic internet speed you’ll be paying for packages that will only allow you to access certain websites. It’s these packages is the reason why many cut cable and only pay for Netflix. To access the internet will become more expensive and controlled. Let that sink in if it hasn’t already.

That is why we need to take action. And this post will make it easy for you to do that.

The ability to share information without impediment is critical to the progression of technology, science, small business, and culture. Please stand with the public by protecting Net Neutrality once and for all.”

We only have until December 14th, 2017. You have no excuse not to take action I’ve gave you different options how to take action. This is important and for the best results contact daily.

Singal boost this! Spread this like wildfire. Take action!!

Listen, I’m not saying the loss of net neutrality would necessarily be the first step in creating a dystopian future, but it could totally be the first step in creating a dystopian future.

It opens the door for service providers to just block sites that they don’t like, or to only allow sites that they approve. Then that means governments can do it.

Free communication is vital to organizing a populace and starting a revolution. It already looks bad enough, but the loss of net neutrality would pave the way for a very dangerous future indeed.

This is going to matter.

If net neutrality is lost, basic knowledge will favor the wealthy

This is pretty serious.

ALL MY AMERICAN FRIENDS PLEASE REACT TO THIS. IT AFFECTS US ALL.

Net Neutrality: Was Your Name Was Used in Fake FCC Comments?

with-a-whisper:

what-is-fanart-even:

fullmetal-milk-hating-shorty:

There’s been reports about how, and I quote, “21.7 million public comments supporting the rule change were likely faked. The amount of fraudulent comments is staggering, but also necessarily surprising. To recap:

THEY ARE USING BOTS TO SUPPORT THE DEATH OF NET NEUTRALITY!

The Attorney General is looking to, and I quote, “corrupt the FCC’s notice and comment process.“ In other words:

WE MIGHT JUST HAVE A CHANCE TO FIGHT BACK!

Everybody, read this article carefully, and reblog this post like there is no tomorrow! The whole world must know about this!

My computer is broken so pay attention to this stuff

Don’t make an excuse not to.

You will lose literally 80% of the things you love about the internet if net neutrality is destroyed.

Most of the content creators you love will be out of a job.

Don’t allow Verizon, AT&T and Comcast to rip a fat piss all over the 1st amendment.

If you do one useful thing in your fucking life, make sure it’s this.

REMINDER THAT GETTING RID OF NET NEUTRALITY WILL HURT:

- SMALL BUSINESSES

How will they be able to advertise things when they’re just starting out, and how many people will be able to see it? How many people will be willing to buy things online if they already have to pay for access to the site?

- SCHOOLS

Any school with computers will have to pay money for internet access. Otherwise students won’t be able to work on any projects in class, and they will have to rely on home internet access. Lots of school funding will be used for paying this!

- PEOPLE SEEKING MEDICAL/FINANCIAL AID ONLINE

It is common on this site and on many others to see people asking for aid. Imagine what will happen to these people if they have to pay to go onto this site, and imagine how many people will see their posts. Imagine how many people will still have the money to help them.

- STUDENTS

Any kind of research paper will be a pain to write, regardless of your grade level. I have to turn in almost all of my homework online, and nothing is allowed to be handwritten. This will make college more expensive, too, and that’s already too much for anyone to pay for without student loans.

- ANYONE LOOKING FOR A JOB ONLINE

Nobody wants to pay an extra $50 dollars a month to sign up for job applications. It is also standard to have an email, so if you no longer have access to it, that can cost you a job, even if you aren’t signing up for it online.

- ARTISTS

Many artists already have trouble getting people to buy commissions. A lack of exposure and a lack of money will not help.

- YOUTUBERS

I don’t really go on youtube anymore, but I know for a fact that this will effect the amount of views (and therefore the amount of money) they’ll get for their videos. This will effect youtubers worldwide, and the U.S. is filled with tons of viewers!

- PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES

Lots of people rely on the internet to vent or to escape. Imagine if they were suddenly told that they aren’t able to do that anymore. Imagine what will happen if they’re suddenly cut off from their friends online.

- LIBRARIES

Libraries would have to put even more funding into internet access, and if they can’t pay for it, it will be a serious inconvenience to many, many people. People who go to the library to use the computers often don’t have a computer at home.

Call the FCC and senators. Write an email. Send a letter. DO SOMETHING.

Net Neutrality in Fandoms

I see people making posts about what will happen if net neutrality is killed, and I wanted to add to that by showing how the fandom side of the internet would be affected.

  • You’ll have to pay extra to catch up to your favorite shows. The usage of streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu will require fees.
  • The usage of Tumblr will require extra fees. It’ll make it harder for fans to connect with each other.
  • Fanfiction writers like me won’t be able to post our work without paying. That means that we can’t read others’ work either.
  • You want to stay tuned in to what your favorite celebrity is doing online? Sorry, you’ll have to pay.
  • If the bill to take away Net Neutrality passes on December 14, you’ll have to pay to stay in contact with all the friends you’ve met online through your fandoms.
  • If you’re not able to afford increasing rates, you’ll be cut off from everything you love about books, tv shows, movies, and more.

That’s why I’m urging you to take action. If you are part of a fandom on here, we need to join forces with each other and advance as a family to fight this. This sounds super cheesy, but I don’t care of you’re a Superwholockian, a Potterhead, a Star Wars fan, a Star Trek fan - we need to put our differences aside and fight for the right to keep enjoying what we enjoy.

Hell, if you’re not in a fandom, fight for your own rights to the internet, to this unique website.

If you can’t help out, signal boost this and spread it everywhere.

I’ve also reached out to Misha Collins on Instagram, providing him with information and asking him if he can help spread the word. It seems futile, but we need all the help we can get. If you feel comfortable with it, try talking to your favorite famous people to ask them to help spread the word as well.

Ways to help:

This is a link to a petition. The goal is 300,000 signatures and we are nearly there. International users, you can help here too!

We only need to convince one of the three people below to change their vote to ‘No.’ Be smart, formal, and respectful in your emails. If we are rude, we’re no better than them. Check out the net neutrality tag on the explore page to find letter templates that people have put up.

You can also text “RESIST” to 50409, which is a bot that will help you fax a letter to your senators. Remember: smart, formal, and respectful.

Thank you.

Remember:

We have until December 14.

Tagging some people to help signal boost:

@happihufflepuff @sorryimawkwardandstuff @tacklesackles @lonelyangelstardis @grellaofasguard @blubunn @assbutt-still-in-hell @askcastielangelofthelord @celestialangelcastiel

If we lose this, I won’t be able to go on Tumblr anymore. Ever.

Guys, please be careful to vet that what you choose to signal boost is actually accurate. I’m seeing a lot of well-intentioned posts today about Net Neutrality that are likely to do just as much harm as good due to misinformation in them.

For instance, we are not all suddenly shouting that the sky is falling because the FCC has PASSED the bill abolishing Net Neutrality and the changes are to be put in place some time this month. As claimed by one post I just saw with over 5,000 notes already. This is simply, unequivocally NOT true, and it can actually get in the way of the call to action that very post made, asking people to call and email their congressmen, because a lot of people who see that might think “what’s the point, if its already passed?”

It hasn’t. Chairman Ajit Pai of the FCC unveiled in April his proposed plan to strike back the Net Neutrality regulations Obama’s administration passed in 2015, and which have since 2015 been upheld by the courts in the face of Republican opposition’s attempts to claim they overreached. What has people shouting the sky is falling NOW is because yesterday (November 21st) is when the date of the official vote on this proposed plan was announced. That date is December 14th.

Which means there IS still time to affect the outcome of the vote. People are pessimistic about the chances of this vote because the FCC board is held by a Republican majority at the moment, but make the passing of this bill seem toxic enough to other Republican interests and there is still a chance to keep it from passing.

Which is still a hell of a lot better than assuming the bill has already passed and that there’s really no point.

We have until December 14th to kick up enough of a fuss that the Republicans on the FCC board think twice about voting for this bill. And even after that, there are still legal recourses. The courts have refused to uphold other bills Trump’s administration has attempted to pass as overreaching, unconstitutional, and/or in opposition of the true will of the people - just as the Republicans attempted to do back in 2015 when the FCC under Obama passed the Net Neutrality laws in the first place.

This does not mean be complacent. This does not mean assume enough other people will raise enough of a fuss without adding your voice to the mix. It simply means THERE IS STILL TIME TO ACT. The sky may be falling, but until it finishes falling, there’s still a chance to catch it instead.

We have until December 14th to kick up enough of a fuss that the Republicans on the FCC board think twice about voting for this bill.

there IS still time to affect the outcome of the vote.
